IVF

The major obvious pro to IVF is that people can have children who previous to this medical advancement could not. When you are told you can't have children, that most be one of the hardest things to hear and now with IVF they can help a lot of people with this problem. The major con is that there has to be a third party involved in contraception. That is the part the church has a problem with, the third party. They suggest other forms of treatments such as "the use of drugs to increase the number of eggs produced, surgery to eliminate blockages in the husband’s or wife’s body, and gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT), which is similar to in vitro fertilization but not as efficient. In GIFT the wife’s eggs and husband’s sperm are injected together into the woman’s fallopian tubes in the hope that an embryo will result." I think it is very expensive! But honestly, I don't think that effects the morality of it. The idea is still scary that you pay all this money and nothing is guaranteed. Maybe that's were the morality is brought into question, when these people pay a lot of money with no promise of success.
